husband was due to return his acknowledgement of service to the court over a week ago.
Still hasn't - today he said because it says he has to pay the costs -
I believe this to be the court costs of around £300 - for his solicitor to write to my solicitor and back and forth is going to incur more cost that the £300 - why can't he see this.

Can someone please confirm that the court costs are £300 and that is what is meant in the acknowledgement of service.

many thanks in advance.

When I sent of my papers to the court this week, I had to enclose a cheque for £300. I presume this is the same thing you are talking about? if not, I'm sure somebody further along with this will advise you better.

Hi Carrie

I think you are right.

The court costs it refers to are the £300 court fee.

Tell him to complete it and return it, but to write an amendment saying that he'll pay half the fee ( ?? is this fairer ?)

That way you'll keep things moving.

Has his sol not explained all this to him ?
