Hi.
I have some problem with my solicitor.

I have asked a solicitor to proceed my divorce case as petotioner on 12th Aug.But she left holiday next day.
I couldn't get any advice until she came back, even during 4 wks, my husband sent me quite nasty emails.
The day before she came back to office, I sent her e-mail to explane what happened also I needed some advice what I have to do to proceed divorce/financial agreement etc.

But the only reply from her secretary was

"We confirm receipt of your emails (this emails are about my husband recent behavior and copy of emails between him and me)sent today and we would be obliged if you would kindly confirm your clear instructions. Please note that if we do not receive clear instructions from yourself then we will have no alternative other than to cease acting for you and return the balance of any funds owing to you.
We look forward to receiving your instructions shortly. "

I have already made up my mind to change solicitor so I reply her email to tell her about it.

but since then I haven't got any reply (I sent her email 4 times and I haven't got any confimation email from her if I got email from her or not, even they said "shortly".

They still holding my balance as well.

I would like to proceed my divorce case ASAP but can't move now.

How could I move? or how could I make complain to the office?
If someone has any advice, please.
I really appreciate..thank you.

Regards,
moca

Hi there

The best way to proceed now is to instruct your new solicitor who will send you a form to sign so they can get your file and your money for you.

From the feedback I have read on this forum, you could do an awful lot worse than instruct Amanda’s firm.

Thank you Amanda & Peter

I have just made a phone call to the solicitors office..Actually I sent a fax but no reply! so I phoned this time..

They said...

The secreatary has been on holiday for 2 wks and my solicitor has been poorly this week.
(Nobody checked any emails at all even she (secretary) asked me to reply soon!)

I ask a lady who took my phone call to sort out my balance and I told her I relactantly had to move to another solicitor...

Just I can't beleive.... totaly 6 weeks... nothing..
Hope they don't charge.
