Does anyone know why some firms are written in bold and not others? Can''t be ranking as there can be a 2 not in bold but a 3 that is if you see what I mean.
TIA

The names on the legal500 website of the [family law] firms that are in bold are hyperlinks - ie if you click on the name it takes you to a page on the legal500 website containing further information about that firm. The names not in bold are not hyperlinks.

Hope that helps.

PS - the above isn''t obvious - having the names of those firms with hyperlinks to information pages in a different colour might help.

excuse my ignorance - what is the legal 500? a directory that lawyers pay to be on, or are they on there due some independent assessment of how good they are?

According to their own blurb it isn''t possible to buy your way onto the list, extensive research, blah de blah.
There needs to be a best budget list lol, as this list isn''t just how good they are but also how expensive and most people already know if you want the best you have to pay for it.
It just reinforces the notion that best legal team wins.
What I''m puzzling over though is the County Court Judges must see the same faces over and over, they will know who the grabitquick and scarpers are from the elite and therefore should also appreciate that some people are suffering from bad representation as opposed to a bad case.
Don''t they become familiar with all the tricks?

Yes, a directory that only includes those who have undergone some scrutiny and operate to a specific standard.
