For the last 2 months I have been having an affair with a married woman 3,000 miles away.
We both have a child between the ages of 6 and 10 years. We both come from unhappy marriages going back at least 5 years.

I have already taken the first step and I am getting divorced. For her its a bit more difficult but she has been to a shrink and has set a time of no more than 6 months to separate and finally divorce.

Incredibly what we feel together is so powerful that what I have experienced in such a small amount of time exceeds that what I have had with my wife of 16 years. We are well suited plus we are in the same line of work. I thought that after a week of us being together that my feelings would die but its the exact opposite. We grow close and closer every day. We spend a couple of hours a day on the phone, Skype etc and the ability to concentrate is so difficult. I have seen so many posts out there that say such a relationship will never happen but I know their are exceptions. The love and respect that we have for each other is overwhelming.
SO IS THERE ANY ONE OUT THEIR THAT HAS EXPERIENCED THIS BEFORE AND DO YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE?
Whatever the advice I made up my mind already!

I would go for it. This sort of relationship often only comes along once in a lifetime. You obviously have much in common and need to be together.

All best wishes

Nige

Probably best to read through some of posts on here then you can see the real pain that is involved in divorce and separation so that you can make an informed decision before you do anything in haste

As Nige has said you''ve obviously thought about it lots and made your decisions together. I don''t think there is anything really to add apart from to wish you the best of luck.
