I''m not ready yet. I still have my stbx living in the spare room and a battle to divorce for one thing, but I had a look. And, oh dear, it would appear that being 46 allows me a chance of a 60 plus year old. I''m lovely, really I am, and I''m fun on a night out. But it looks like I have no chance of meeting a man my own age. Is it really as hopeless as it looks?

I am just a little older than you. I haven''t joined internet dating, but joined a meet up group. I have had two or three dates with people from there. The benefit is you meet them first and have a chat and it''s just friends. The dates I went on were with people I got on with and decided to go out as a two rather than the group. These have been different ages. Mind I haven''t gone to the group specifically to meet someone, I have gone for the social life and met some real good girlfriends as well.

Give this a go, I have had some real good laughs. Look up meet up on the internet. There are a lovely couple who met through this, so there is hope.

Good luck xxxx

I have has a go on internet dating, had likes from men a lot younger than me and alsoolder, but the 3 I have met up with have been around my age, if not a couple of years younger.
Still not sure where it will go but I am enjoying the time I have spent with the most recent one, my only hesitation is I had been with my ex all my adult life and do it''s weird being with someone else.

I am 50 but it''s the new 30 don''t give up :)I went on my first kind if date today with a gentleman I met at my gym a few years ago technically it am a cougar as he is 37 ... Anyway we did not do the conventional dinner date but went to Wisley Gardens had a long walk I packed a picnic but he bought me an over priced lunch a coffees but I chose were I wanted to go and I had a lovely time were meeting to go geo caching (his choice if date) over the weekend.

Anyhoo my point is the word date.. It does not have to be a dinner date you can change the setting like I did to a point you feel comfortable with, when he asked me out I practically ran away but I am very glad I didn''t I had a lovely day :)and did not need to use the internet.

No. Lots of people your age on dating sites. In fact forties is a fairly common divorce age. Whereas people in their 60''s is not. Although I do hear that 60''s is catching up fast. But age is just a number really and you are only as old as the person you are feeling right now ;)C.
