Well done for not needing the internet. I have been with stbx since I was 18 so I have no clue what to do. I''m also a teacher in a very small town where everyone seems to be married. All my friends are married. I have no idea how I''d go about meeting someone. I think I have also had my confidence knocked by this and don''t really see how anyone could fancy me.

Articles on the internet are scary, they''re all about revamping appearance and selling yourself. Apart from the fact that, as a single parent of 6, I''ll be skint and knackered, I don''t want to go down the route of playing these games just to get noticed...maybe I am naive.

Thanks marshy. Maybe I am getting the wrong impression, it just looked like the men were all after someone much younger than themselves.

I do hear this a lot. And it makes me wonder. But there are all sorts in life as there are all sorts on dating sites. When I used dating sites a few years ago, I would never contact someone that was a lot younger than I or a lot older. I wanted someone my own age. And 40''s is out of scope for me as way to young (i''m 59 this year).

I would be very suspicious of someone that wants to meet someone a lot younger. Could be they are married? Could be they are a bit creepy. Dunno. But there are plenty of all ages on dating sites and strangely, the free ones have the same people as the pay ones. You see the same people lol.

But when your ready.. Take your time and be prepared to put up with the marrieds and weirdo''s. But there are lots of decent men on dating sites. Trick is finding them. Good luck. C.

Hi Sulky have a great weekend geocaching, my son and I have done this for a couple of years and it''s great fun. Some walks are so lovely and some caches really tricky!!

I also used to geocache, but mostly dragged an unwilling stbx along. Maybe it''s time to join in on the social side of gepcachong and other interests.

Technically I am a muggle until I find my first one but were going on a walk near where I live and there is a trail around the lake it''s bazaar what goes on right under your nose really.

If anyone is going to meet someone from a dating site please be safe meet them in a public place and google them one of my ex foster children she is 31 has had some pretty bad experiences on this she googled one chap on the toilet during a dinner date only to find he has be sent to prison twice and was currently residing in her area because that was the terms of his parole so please keep safe.

Meet in a public place etc. don''t take any risks.

I just haven''t found any women on the internet that share my interests........drinking 12 pints of guiness watching the footie and grabbing a doner after it''s a rare breed of woman I''m after it would seem
All the best
