If your marriage certificate means so much to you because of your father's writing/signature on it then you can definitely get it back even after the divorce has been completed. I asked at the Court about mine and they said there's a fee of £40 to get it back and that it would be easier to get a copy from the Registrar's office. But if that copy has particular significance to you then yes, you can have it back. Best wishes Aries xxx
