can anyone please tell me the length of time I may have to wait from the application for the Decree Absolute to it being issued?
I've read differing opionions on this and would be grateful for others experiences.

Thanks

Hi there

The time you have to wait from making the application to the absolute being issued varies depending on the court and the level of work/backlog the court has.

I just would like to be reassured that it won't be MONTHS as I waited 4 months for the Nisi and that was bad enough !!

Thanks :)

Ah - sounds like you issued in a court with a backlog - hopefully the one that existed when you applied for you nisi has been cleared ;)

I applied for the absolute 7 weeks ago and am still waiting.

Mind you, the court cashed my cheque the next day, so they can be pretty quick at some things!
