Hi all,

Ex and I divorced in Switzerland and the maintenance payments for our children were in the actual divorce decree, as is usual there.

I have now moved back with children to the UK and he now lives in another EU country.

For the past year and a bit he has not paid any maintenance for the children and has blatantly told me he won''t.

I have the forms for a REMO now, as sent to me by the Magistrates court.

Ex is now claiming to have very little earnings as opposed to his high earnings he had in his previous country of residence, where our Divorce went through.

What will happen if I put the REMO papers through (have to sent paperwork off to Swiss courts first before I can send them back to the UK courts). Obviously I am not expecting the same amount of maintenance due to his lesser earnings but how much less than the court ordered amount could it be? He is now working a seasonal, part time job by choice.

I work full time.

Any answers/advice would be greatly appreciated!

I''m not sure anyone will know how the Swiss courts calculate child maintenance. There was an informative article about child maintenance on a Swiss government website I read sometime ago which might help if you can find it and read German.
