cafcass are now contacting parents prior to first hearing
they speak to the respondent first and then to the applicant
basically stbx made 3 alleagtions about excessive drinking and moodiness and aggression
when CAFCASS called me i put my side in a rational calm and relaxed way trying to be child focussed - the cafcass officer was very understanding and showed commonsense
i am due at court for first hearing tomorrow so i will post my experience after that
hope this will help people in some small way
i also advise visiting the old cafcass website as i am finding it very helpful

i would advise you to admit and accept any true allegations - you will not get contact if you cannot show that you are remorsefull and accept any bad bevious was unacceptable
