FDR Hearing

Good morning, I wonder can anyone give me advice on the following. I am due to attend a FDR hearing on the 24th of May. I received a letter from STBX solicitor headed "without prejudice save as to costs" with a proposed settlement giving me 14 days to reply. The settlement in no way reflects the discussions at the FDA hearing. The Judge at the FDA Hearing stated it was a needs basis divorce in my favour. I would be really grateful if somebody could give me an idea as to how to reply to this letter. Thank you in advance

Have you got a counter offer prepared?

You will need one as the basis for discussion at FDR.

Head your letter without prejudice

Thank them for their letter of xxx and the offer contained therein which is not accepted. Assure them that you are still willing to settle if agreement can be reached.

Explain that this is a needs based case and the offer made by their client falls short of meeting your needs (and those of any children).

Set out your counter offer for FDR.

Give a deadline if you want - could be 7 days.
