Ok my house sale went through fine on Monday.

I got a message from the conveyancing solicitor saying everything has gone through & that she had handed the substantial amount of money from the equity on the ledger to the divorce solicitor in the same company for the Consent Order to be dealt with - now that would be all well & good but that divorce solicitor does not represent me, she represents my ex husband!

I agreed that the house sale be handled by the same company as they agreed to price match the conveyancing costs & it would make sense that the conveyancing solicitor would then sort out the consent order part.

It''s not really that difficult a consent order to follow but I wasn''t expecting her to hand it over to the divorce solicitor!

I suspect that as his divorce solicitor has some sort of issue with his capital gains tax for the rental income of the house when it was rented out that she will not be releasing the funds until she gets an answer from my accountant.

We are not talking a significant sum of money if that is the case with it but I want my money thank you very much!
