This is a serious question. Should I start phoning them every day or perhaps twice per day after a further while without responses?

Ask to speak to somebody else I guess is the best - any ideas?

It is not something I would like done to myself, but after well over half a year, I would like to get the order ready.

I will not name names upfront, but the solicitors recommended here have so far taken since beginning of July last year to do a Consent Order.

It wasn''t very complicated to begin with, but unfortunately bad luck and their response time have meant they are playing catch up with our lives as said lives cannot unfortunately just be put on hold for months on end.

(And if they had done it within a couple of months in the first place, then there would be no need for them to keep having to redo it.)

I realise the person working on it is probably inundated with work, however I do wish they could say that and suggest an alternative, even giving me what draft there is in return for a rebate to pass on to other solicitors rather than repeatedly say that it will be ready in two days or by the end of the week and then not send it and - not always - but most of the time by far refrain from returning calls.

WillowAndy,

You need to raise your concerns with an adviser on the Wikivorce helpline - no-one here will be able to help you progress your consent order, I''m afraid.

Wikivorce will work with you to address the concerns you have, and work to a resolution for you. I have contacted the solicitors concerned and ask that they provide you with an update by phone or email as soon as possible. Please don''t hesitate to contact the helpline if you wish to discuss your service.

The Helpline number is 01202 805020, lines are open until 11pm.
