Hi,

I had a fixed cost agreement with a law firm to cover all costs inc barrister. With less than a week to go, i''m now told costs have trippled and they want paying now!

The don''t seem to care about what was agreed and put in wrting.

I spoke to the various regulatory bodies and the turn around time to intervene is far too long.

Anyone offer any advice?

Ta.

What was the agreement? It is common to agree certain stages for a fixed price but you need to be aware when that stage ends and whether another agreement follows on e.g. charging by the hourly rate.
