Hello,

I am a LiP and a respondent in the Finance Ancillary Case.

We skipped FDA doing a Consent Order and the Judged approved it. All Forms for FDA have been signed with my signature.

I received my ex-solicitors Form H and they wait for my Form H.

I read a lot of advises here and thanks everybody.

My question:

I live in another country. I used a lot of legal advice''s from a solicitors of this country and accountants from this country as well. The country is a member of EU.

Can I fill in my Form H with the amounts of this legal foreign solicitors etc. help?

Do I need receipts and invoices? They will be in foreign currency - do I need to translate them?

Thank you in advance.

No, you do not need receipts, yes you can include the foreign solicitors'' fees on the Form H and yes, you should show the fees in UK pounds - add the rate of exchange for clarity.

The most important figure from a settlement point of view is how much is still owed which is calculated by reference to the total of the costs less the amount paid on the first page.
