Consent Order sealed, Absolute granted. I used a solicitor and now we''re just tying up the loose ends. House was ordered to go onto the market, it''s for sale. I am to get a share in 3 of his pensions, two of them are in process. The 3rd one the trustees are still deciding whether or not they will offer the internal option or if I shall have to make an external transfer. My solicitor has performed a good job for me but I now feel she''s merely performing a copy and paste function to the other side. Should I go it alone in the final straits? His side keep emailing with silly requests about ''chattels'' and I don''t want to waste any more money on who gets the Kenwood Chef! (He''s welcome to it, by the way!)

If you understand the process and you are confident enough to perform the task yourself then, no, you don''t need a solicitor.

Thank you Charles, I think I am confident enough. As I say, we have a consent order I am very happy with and the Absolute has been granted. His solicitor is sending silly emails to mine so of course she has to answer, contact me for information and of course I get charged! I will probably be back on the site for backup though!
