What Happened To Solicitors From Hell?

I know that solicitorsfromhell.co.uk was taken down after action by the Law Society. It seems very strange to me that there are forums out there that cover every transaction and business which we as the public are involved in except the law!
I can understand that solicitors might not like having their dirty washing aired in public but it''s something that happens in every other walk of life. OK, where a post may be considered as inaccurate or liable there would need to be a process of review and an opportunity for both sides to state their case. Of course total lies on a forum would be dealt by the law itself, so why does the legal profession consider itself to be above criticism, why does it need to bury its issues?
Lastly does anyone know of a website where I can publish letters sent to me by a Solicitor so that other people can judge the Solicitor''s behaviour for themselves and form their own opinions on evidence produced by the solicitors themselves?

Why do you want other people - strangers - to see private communication, and to pass judgement on something that has nothing to do with them? You certainly can''t publish such correspondence here.

There are procedures in place if you have an issue with a legal professional; the SRA, the Legal Ombudsman, the Bar Society, etc etc.

You can read the judgement of Law Society (and others) v Rick Kordowski [2011] EWHC 3185 (qb) here - reading the judgement may give you a better understanding of what the case was actually about ;)

I am aware of the restrictions of Wikidivorce and have no fear I do not wish to publish any on this site.
I am also aware that there are particular bodies to whom I can complain.
I don''t consider the nature of the communication received from the solicitor in question to be personal to me. However I do think that other people who may intend to contract the solicitor in question (note I''m not mentioning their name here) should be aware of their behaviour. I really don''t see any difference between having a poor experience with a solicitor, a builder, a gardener, a garage, surely it''s all in the public interest and Solicitors should receive no special treatment or dispensation.

Is this your solicitor you are complaining about or your ex-wife''s solicitor?

PS - even if you did publish the name of the solicitor, or the law firm, it would be removed by the moderating team.

It''s the solicitor that I contracted whom I had to fire because I suffered poor service. I just feel it would be really unfortunate if someone else were to contract them without understanding what I found lacking in their performance, their handling of my complaint has been even worse.
I feel that if someone else had been able to express their dissatisfaction with them I would have been in a better position whether to decide to use them or not.
Why would this be any different from dealing with anyone form any other trade?

If you have an issue with your own solicitor (past or current), then there are certain procedures you need to follow. Just because you were dissatisfied doesn''t mean that others will be in the future.

I think you will find that there are procedures which I can (and probably will) follow anyway.
It doesn''t mean that others will be happy either!
But my question remains, why is there nowhere that I can publish my concerns like I can with any other service I am dissatisfied with?
Can you Imagine not being able to publish that you were unhappy with the service of your local garage or builder? I just don''t understand why the Legal industry isn''t the same as any other, you can say what you like about the Police, but not a Solicitor.
