My solicitor is too busy to check the final draft of the Consent Order. I have been chasing for nearly 3 or 4 weeks. Meanwile my ex has said he cannot pay mortgage/maintenance on the FMH where I and our 3 sons live for August & September. Can someone please advise if I should keep waiting or shall I just get someone else to look it over?

I am a solicitor and would definitely suggest complaining to a partner in the firm.

Solicitor is a partner and has been too ill and too busy. Problem is they have a "lean" on the file as I owe £000''s and I am paying in instalments. I think I am small fry and there are other major clients divorcing with £millions. I have nothing & I am fighting to get the equity in my house which is hardly anything after a long marriage. I chased again today. I feel so frustrated. Maybe I should have just gone to any high st firm but someone recommended this one to me.
Thank you

I would still complain. There must be someone else in the firm who can do the work in your solicitor''s absence. If they have accepted you paying by instalments then this should not be a problem.
