Hi all, I live in Ware, Hertfordshire and currently have a solicitor but they are not great. I am looking to move but don''t want to do so without ideally having client recommendations first so I don''t end up worse off. My ex who has serious mental health issues is taking me to court in August for child contact so I do need good solicitor.

Can anyone recommend one? Am willing to travel a bit further if necessary??

Thanks, any help will really help put my mind at rest during this really tricky time.

We don''t name individual solicitors or firms on Wikivorce, so if anyone can recommend a solicitor, can they please send bluerose a PM?

Legal Aid was withdrawn (mostly) in April this year for family law cases - unless you have specific evidence that you have suffered domestic violence within the last 24 months, you won''t receive legal aid.

Have you offered/attempted mediation yet?

If you are unable to afford a solicitor, then you may need to represent yourself - you will get plenty of support and advice from our members here.
