Hi,

Can anyone advise me the correct procedure ?

I have filed Petition and Ancillary Application myself and am, for the time being, not using a sol. My stbx has one. Ex and I don't communicate very well but I have said to him that if his sol can come up with a Consent Order that is agreeable then we won't have to battle it out before a judge. We did have a Separation Agreement which he did not stick to and now feels was unfair.

Have a date for first appt in about 7 weeks time but not heard anything from his sol. I contacted the Court and asked them to serve the papers on his sols as he did not return Acknowledgement. The court confirmed this has been done and ex says he has signed everything and sent it to his sol. Should I make contact with them ?? How would they normally respond when the applicant has no sol ? Will they leave it to the last minute to draw up a draft consent order?

Thanks for any thoughts
