I have been married for 21 years and found out in early feb that my husband is having an affair. We haven't told our sons yet as one doing A Levels and other in first year at university. Planning to tell them mid june when exams finished and both sons will be home. When do I need to get solicitors involved? Have not done anything at the moment as didn't want to start with cost until at least "out"? Have I done the right thing should I start soon or wait till my sons know? Many thanks for any advice M

It takes ages so you may as well get started now. Maybe if you work you could ask the solicitors to send paperwork there for the moment in case your sons come across something or open a letter in error. While you are still living together it would be better to do this anyway so as to keep your legal correspondence private.
