Hi again,
Phoned this morning and told them to cease any work for me and send an itemised invoice for the work done.
My Solicitor is supposedly off sick and the Consent Order is still in her office, lol. Will fire off a letter to the Legal aid board because it warrants it.
Gonna have a week in France and let everyone else wait till I clear my head and consider my options.
Thanks for you comments, will post the results of my actions for ref.
:)
One thing, I feel a lot better for taking this action.

If you wish to make a complaint regarding the service you have recived like i have, i had to put in writing to the senior partner of the firm i'm still waiting for him to reply, i will then be sending the letter to the Law society as i have been told of an answer via mouth of the senior partner and i'm not happy with that response.

Do legal aid solicitors get paid a lot less than other solicitors for doing divorce work ?
Is it a charity?

Hi Gingekitty,
I am in the same position as you are almost but my ex and I both got legal aid. I still live in the mh although divorced. It was put into the Consent Order that way. To be honest it has saved me renting at 500 quid a month although I contribute half to the running of the house which I really want to leave now.
My Solicitor just wanted to go for more to the point that she wanted me to go for 5k more by getting more aid to go to court and slug it out. I think thats when I realised she was having a laugh.
I dont think its over by a long shot so keep an eye on this post cos I think she is going to blow when I tell her I dont have a solicitor anymore.
:S
