I left my wife due to coercive control last July. She has refused to agree on anything since then and we have had a roundtable then an FDR - that has all cost me £35k in loans and she is still not compromising so I have to accept defeat or pay another £35k for final hearing.

I am shocked that all you have to do is refuse to agree on anything and run the others debt up so much they capitulate.

Has anyone done the final hearing process themselves and if so how much did it cost them?

Welcome to Wikivorce.

Lots of people have represented themselves in financial proceedings because they can't afford to use a solicitor. Wikivorce is an excellent free resource for litigants in person.

I'm not sure why a FH would cost £35k, unless you are using a solicitor to do absolutely everything for you and using a very expensive barrister or QC for the FH.

Maybe you could give the helpline a call and speak to an adviser about the services Wikivorce offers to litigants in person?
