Well just want to say a great big thank you to everyone for their help, advice and support over the last four years- as a LIP the invaluable advice on here has been first class and this site has seen me through the worst years of my life- and today was my final hearing and clutching my bundle I went into battle against the man that tried to murder me and then tried to claim my property- but alas he failed miserably and after throwing a folder at the Judge and legging it (him not me!)- I am now the proud owner of my home that I have fought so hard to keep-and no costs ordered against me! my case has been very complicated and it has been hard work and sleepless nights learning the ins and outs of marital law- but as LIP I estimate I have saved myself £35k-40k in legal costs- so to those thinking about LIP - you can do it- believe in yourself and save an Absolute fortune- pick peoples brains there is a wealth of advice on here, use this site and it will guide you through and you will be never be without help! Thank you for everything Wikipeeps wouldn't have got through this without you xxx

That is great. Lets hope you can have the best nights sleep in 4 years. Thats what im looking forward to most. Sounds stupid but it takes its toll.
Enjoy the rest of your life doing exactly what you like. Lets hope KARMA catches him before the judge does. :)

I'm trying to picture the scene. Throwing a file at the judge and legging it is probably a first on wiki. He clearly realised the game he's been playing was finally over.

Take time to savour the feeling of freedom, secure in your home. Well done!

Best wishes for the future.

Very well done you, going it alone is never easy, but now its over.

In terms of argument, not sure throwing stuff at a Judge is a great strategy, it is i suppose the most blatant version of contempt, probably quite frightening for you.

This stuff happens though, the Judge could chuck him in a cell of course, but often they don`t, give them enough rope often they hang themselves without help, and then its hard to appeal the judgement.

What a great outcome! You should feel very proud of yourself for having the courage and determination to see this through.

This does seem like a classic example of the kind of behaviour that can happen when a bully comes up against a judge who isn't intimidated by them. It gives great hope to all those out there facing an unreasonable ex that they too will reveal their true nature in court.

I hope you stay around and use your experience to help others but for now just take a rest and look forward to your future.
