Hi, myself and wife have been trying to save the marriage, had councelling etc, we both agree it is going nowhere, we have no children and no home (currently renting)

My wife does not work, no real reason, just decided not. Whilst I can just about too afford to move out into a spare room, is this right? I cant see any other solution, so looking for suggestions, my wife has nowhere to go

Erm. She needs to get a job - or apply for benefits and see what help she can get with rent. If your income is limited and there is no surplus after your costs are covered, there is no question of spousal maintenance. In any case SM just reduces benefits £ for £.

NB Even if there's nothing to split, you really need a Consent Order to prevent future claims.
