Does anyone else like quotes?? I try to find positive ones for when I''m having a bad day. I rather like this one and guess it was me ...

However much we want them to things never stay the same. Trying to hold on to something that''s passed is like trying to hold water in our hands. We might keep it for a while, we might drink some of the water, or refresh our faces, but eventually it will trickle away.

Anyone got some good ones to send positive vibes or laughter our way??

Facing a difficult night tomorrow big social do first with loads of ex work people and on my own so those that don''t know will and those I haven''t seen but do know will want to ask ....

Thanks wikis ....

BL xx

It''s better to have loved and lost than to live with the psycho for the rest of your life!

Good luck at the do. x

One by John Cleese of Monty Python fame that always makes me smile.

"Rather than get married again, I''ll simply meet a woman I dont like and buy her a house".

And I have a few by one of a fave writers, Harlan Ellison.

"The two most common elements in the universe are hydrogen and stupidity."

"No you''re NOT entitled to your own opinion. What you''re entitled to is your own INFORMED opinion."

"I''ll defend to the death your right to have religion, but I''ll defend to YOUR death my right to have none"

The last, well, its a bit of a favourite of mine.

“Don''t mistake my kindness for weakness. I am kind to everyone, but when someone is unkind to me, weak is not what you are going to remember about me.”

Al "Scarface" Capone.

Like you, I collect a lot of these to cheer me and inspire me. I have posted a few on here before but I think they bear repeating, so below are some of my favourites. I hope they strike a chord and help.

“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom” - Anaïs Nin

"New beginnings are often disguised as painful endings'' - Lao Tzu

"Rock bottom became the solid foundation on which I built my life" - JK Rowling

"just when the caterpillar thought the world had ended, it became a butterfly"

"stop watering the weeds in your garden and start watering the flowers"

"it is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the ones most responsive to change" - Charles Darwin

I could go on!

Butterfly Lady, Pinterest is a good way to while away hours finding this sort of inspiration - you have been warned!
