Found this analogy about relationships and really liked it ;
in a relationship there are three gardens: each partner has their own garden where they grow their own flowers, then they come together in a third garden to give each other the flowers they have picked in their own garden. Each person is responsible for themselves, finding their own joy and love. You give these to each other voluntarily and without need to demand from each other."

It made me realise that my stbx was growing weeds for a long time..................:)

Hi,

My garden should have been great, given the amount of compost being shovelled at me by the x, however I think there was some herbicide mixed in there as well.

Anyway, there are no leylandii around my garden and everyone can look in - but entry is by invitation only!

Carrying on the analogy :

I tried to make my garden worthy of the Chelsea Flower Show. His was patchy grass and weeds. When I went into the third garden and offered my flowers I would find them discarded and wilting.
As for any offerings from his garden - a bunch from Tesco's forecourt was more likely....
