Hi everyone. my pig of a husband walked out on me & his 5 kids after 11 years of marriage 6 weeks ago & since then has been seeing another woman. I have been struggling to come to terms with it all & so decided to not speak to him at all as doing so just breaks my heart!! Because of this he now says I am being childish & so want a divorce ASAP TO GET AWAY FROM ME!! can he divorce me this fast as i dont consider there to be any grounds? Help please
Cheers

Hi Jackie

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but he does have to option of filing an unreasonable behaviour petition if he cobbles together some examples - I am not saying for one moment that you have been unreasonable, but that is the only way he can apply quickly in the circumstances (the other way being adultery, but clearly that doesnt apply to you).

He may just be spouting off at the moment - sadly all you can do is wait and see what he does, unless you are willing to take steps yourself, although from what I have read of your posts you dont seem to be anywhere near ready to do that.
