Hi, I'm looking for some advice. We had our third hearing in May 24. Court ordered sale of the family home. At court for the purposes of the hearing we agreed the middle of 3 values. Eventually the house went on the market in August after much feet dragging. The agent suggested testing the market at a higher price (much to my concern) 6 months later after a few viewings the house is not sold but my ex refuses to reduce the value to achieve a sale. I'm at my wits end......what do I do? More legal expenses? 😫😫😫😫

Go back to court and ask for sole control of the sale.

Perfectly possible. Check the wording of the order you have.it may be that is says sale should be at a price agreed or something similar. It may not be clear. In any event if the value ordered at the FH is too high, you need the permission of the court to reduce it if he won't agree to do so. At the end of the day market value is only what someone's prepared to pay for it. You need a D11 application I think.
