Hi, is there a standard amount that is paid per child and if so how much and at what age does it stop.

child maintenance is based on the income of the non resident parent, the number of children and how many nights they spend with the nrp.

You can work out your payment on the CMS calculator. Google child maintenance calculator. This will give you the statutory minimum. It is open to you to pay more.

CM stops at 18/end of full time secondary education although it can be extended if you have a child with specific needs.

It may continue to 21/end of first degree but only if you agree. This can be enshrined in a court order and made enforceable or done as a voluntary arrangement.
