So, lets get this right, £118 per person per week excluding mortgage and council tax.

I have 5 children, so therefore 6 people in the house, which equates to £708 a week.

In reality I have £418 a week to live on, including paying mortgage, council tax and all the other household bills.

I make that a defecit of nearly £300 a week without allowing for the mortgage and council tax on top.

So where am I going wrong, guess this means I am classed as living below the poverty line?

Thought I would just prove a point.

According to the Office of National Statistics the average weekly expenditure per person in a single parent household is £118. If it works I'll and post the table below .

All those who had a guess win a virtual Krispy Kreme doughnut and Mike gets two for being the only NRP brave enough to have a shot.

Sorry Monitor  I don't think of you as a non-resident parent because you share care 50:50.

You definitely deserve 2 doughnuts and a  because your guess came nearest with £75 being the average expenditure in the lowest quintile.

Thank you and thanks for the kiss

I am NRP legally as I don't receive the Child Benefit for either of my children even though I share care 50/50
