Hello,

I found out that my husband is seeing someone else and for that reason, I want a divorce, but he blackmailing me that if I go further with the divorce he will take my child and everything that belongs to me. I am anxious that he may actually do these things or he may be physically violent towards me. Can I rely on domestic violence and apply for a non-molestation order?

Coercive and threatening behaviour are forms of domestic abuse. Are you saying he may make these threats or that he has made them?

The law is there to protect you and you should not stay married because of the fear of his actions. Knowledge is key so read up on all the available information above to learn how the law can protect you.
