Hello

Our matrimonial home has been in my family for 3 generations

Ex was put on the deeds with myself 23 years ago where we lived until the split and I was made to leave and hand keys back

Trying to negotiate a financial settlement and need to know if a 50/50 split seems fair given the value of the property brought into the marriage

You need to post more details of all incomes, assets, ages and children for someone to comment but it would be hard to see why any of the value of the house would be ringfenced after a 23 year marriage.
