Hi,

I am approaching FDR (5th January 2023) and have been asked to come up with a settlement offer by my solicitor. My STBX wife is not playing ball and has only given a deficient disclosure, the figures below are all I can currently prove. I have supported her since we met, she's never had to work or pay a bill. We have 2 children 12 (girl), and 7 (boy). Hoping for Joint Custody. We were married for 11 years. I have moved out and am currently living with my parents. I really need a 3-bedroom home to house me and the kids.

Income - Me £32,000 pa gross. Her £10800 pa gross.

FMH £200k equity. (In joint names) BTL £25K negative equity (In my name only).

Debts - Me £60K Her £20K (All Credit Card Debts)

Assets - Me Nothing. Her £50K jewellery, £25k pension, £100K business, £900k inheritance from her father who passed away 5 months after our separation. (I expect that this figure is in reality far higher, but this is all that's being disclosed)

She is now in a very strong position financially and has offered me just £100k which represents half of the FMH. I do not expect her to waver from this as she wishes to pay off our mortgage and continue to live in the house and see this going to Final Hearing. As our marital pot alone would not provide for us both and after debts are paid my Solicitor thinks that her inheritance should come into the settlement. Having read so much on the internet I just do not know how Judges view inheritance; I have a settlement amount of around £350k in mind which would leave her with £975k.

All thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated, the mortgage calculator on here suggests more around £475k.
