Hi I wondered if anyone can help me I am representing myself in a stressful divorce. Had virtual FDR a few days ago. I earn £18,000 a year but currently not at work due to Long Covid the husband is a Airline pilot Captain and also a Training flight Captain earning a min £120,000 a year. He as lost his job due to covid and now is working as a delivery driver £17,000 a year. Also receiving furlough money on top but the airline as gone into liquidation.
The judge at the FDR treated the settlement as him working as a van driver without any further prospect of ever returning back to the airline industry, and basis the settlement on him being a van driver for ever! Is this correct?? May I have your views please?

Not an expert but I would say it is correct as it reflects the current position. In a few years time he may be an airline pilot again. Equally he may have lost his job as a van driver and be unemployed.

It's not as if he gave up his job to try to minimise what you get.
