As WikiMan01 helped me so much with his account of what the FDR was like, I would also like to try and help any newbies to this site with the de-mystifying process of how the Court process works.

I have written quite a long blog (i do apologise) but i hope that it may help anybody who is feeling anxious.

Just click on my name and it should take you to my user profile were you will be able to read my blog. (Chapter 2 - Me, Myself and the First Hearing)

Jam stac,

Well done you !!! I am full of admiration for you and the way you stood your ground.
You certainly have inspired and reassured me - FA in June and self-repping as well.

I think your post is so valuable to all self-reppers that it should go into the section of self representation which wiki are working on.

You can be really proud of yourself.

God bless !

Well done Jamstac!

Good result and a very big thank you for putting your experience on the board. It will strip a lot of mystery away from the process and reduce apprehension for people hesitating about self-repping.

Please, please, please keep us all posted on how it goes.

Best of luck!

Well done Jamstac,
I have thrice now represented myself at Court and appeal hearings commenced by sols that walked imminent to the hearings. Your account that taking control however is so true, albeit the timing and choice of my self repping was at short notice and against me, I won the first 2 hearings in 2004 and 2006 and presently await the outcome of the 3rd of this week!. This was acheivable in that I had the preparations and sound advice you proffer in your blog in place.
I echo your views that self representing is daunting but very empowering....especially when you are a prepared and organised with the advantage that the opposing solicitor is not.
Your blog is a useful tool nice one jamstac and good luck for the next stage
