I do agree with you all but i do have my son every sunday so that is my quality time with him.Im not against my ex going out but i would rather my son not be left with my daughter who is unstable at the moment.My ex did have wednesday night contact but didnt turn up so it was stopped.My son wanted to spend time with us both on weekends hence why this contact was set up!.My ex has let my son down alot over the past year and he was invited to my sons last birthday but again didnt turn up...

Why don''t you arrange that your son visits alternate weekend Friday to Sunday evening (Monday morning if possible) and stay with you the other weekend.

This might give the ex the social time he wants and then he might actually stay with your son rather than going out socially.

The NRP having the child both Friday and Saturday night every week is quite unusual and might be the reason for the problem.
