I have a final three day court hearing in Guildford for a child arrangement hearing ( his request for three days to have his family as witnesses). We have a Section 7 report with children services - in my favour for residence.
I approached a direct access barrister and I have been quoted £12k incl Vat for a conference with Counsel in the lead up to your hearing, counsels preparation and attendance at the three day final hearing £12,000 inclusive of VAT.

Is this right? I have submitted my statements and evidence already, due to a provision date that didnt happen as another hearing ran over.

I do not have access to that kind of money. Is self representing in a Final childrens arrangements hearing with a Section 7 report in your favour considered a risk? He wants shared residence of our two young children aged 5 & 8 years.
