for background into this complex matter please read my last few posts.

Attended mag. court yesterday, being transferred to county court on thursday. The CAFCASS recommends using a 9.5 and legal guardian etc inorder to sort out the contact with the mother and her kids.

Cafcass report was damning to her, psyc. issues which need to be investigated, alcohol issues, committment and attachment issues, lying and the fact that she has given them up twice in 5 years and looks at them that she has done her bit its our turn now!!There are also paternity issues to contend with.

Her solicitor is very pushy as we are self repping, as we are now a family of 6 and i have given up work to look after the 6 smallies! WE have no money for representation and informed him so. The mother does not pay toewards the kids and things are very tight fincially. Any advice or things that we should know to keep us ' safe and in the loop' before the initial county hearing on thurs.
thanks

Hi,
I don't envy you having to self rep such a case.
I have self represented some of my cases but wouldn't like to do it in this one.
All I can say is that you should now construct your case mainly around the CAFCASS report, embracing most if not all thier reccommendations.

Most judgements are made largely on the CAFCASS reccommendations and thier report is really a preview of the result of the case, go along with it and you can't lose.
Best of luck.
