My previous overnight contact was once every 2 weeks for fri and sat night. When we initially seperated she said only day time contact. She quickly changed her mind then went to sat night then again changed her mind to fri and sat night. Had to get court order as i never knew where i stood. Have tried to contact her to say we need to sort this out, but she ignores all my e-mails.

My section 7 report was excellant. However it was outsourced from Cafcass.

Basically my son was living with his mother. He wanted to live with me. He was 10 at the time of the report. The social worker from Greenfinch Trust spoke to his mother in her home, and also to the child in her home, without mum being around. This is very important as the child is unlikely to say things (good or bad) if mum is in earshot. He ask the child about school, friends, and the direct question of "where does he want to live?". The same social worker then visited me later the same day, by which time my son was with me for contact. Son went up stairs to play.
Chat with SS went on for about 90mins.
He asked about my work, how I would get son to school, basic childcare arrangements, what the arrangements are at the moment, saw current court order for contact, school books, asked to see son's bedroom. Son was playing and the subject of football teams came up.
In all it went very well.

When I saw the report. Its about 70 odd pages, but double spaced, so really only 20 pages of A4 - takes a good couple of hours to read through - It was about 90% correct. But it wasnt worth correctly the minor things at court as when we went to court, the court awarded me full residence.

Job done.
