i was in court in may for contact with my girl but the judge ordered a caffcass report to be copleted by the 26 aug 09 and back to court in 10 sep 09, on speaking to cafcass they still not allocated the case and not likely too untill the end of the month which will not meet the court time line.

Does anyone know the next step as i have to go back to court with a barrister stbx in on legal aid only to possibly get it adjourned at more expense to me again. I am concerned that i am in a contact centre for 2 hours every fortnight and loosing my time with my girl and my family has not see her for over 12 months.
Advice anyone

Thanks

start chasing cafcass asap find out which office is dealing with you and go after them. if its surrey i have the name and number of the manager. delays in this are a pain as it feels like no cares, been waiting for 8 months for a report to be filed from them and been suffering contact centres for 2 years . but play clean and you will get there in the end

next step is go back to court when your due and get the judge involved as they have a duty to resolve these asap they will grant an extension to a date specified by the cafcass office and this must be agreed between judge and cafcass , then another court date im afraid. kicking off with cafcass is not a good idea (trust me i know )
