Hi Fat whale,

obviously i am new to this court thing too and tomorrow will be my first hearing, but i believe that i will be in court tomorrow and speaking to a cafcass officer then seeing the judge, i think what will happen then is if my ex and i cannot agree something ( which i can tell you know we wont be able to ) then a report will have to done by cafcass, i also believe that at the minute there is a back log of cases so it could be anything upto 15 weeks before that report comes through, dont quote me on this im just guessing, i dont think that there will be another hearing untill after the report is done, hope this helps.

The official line on reports in my area is 16 weeks - my report was due 29th July and report was postponed to 15th September. It can be a long haul.

In mine the case was heard begining of may 08 and the report came out end of sept 08.

Children were interviewed on a couple of occasions as were mum and dad. Interaction with parents etc is something they also like to see as well as normal everyday routine.

Meeting with my lawyer tomorrow. Hopefully she will be able to give me clearer picture.

Been with my children all the time and feeling more and more sad from what they told me regarding the way my stbx behaved. Physical punishment. What century my stbx is living in? My son said daddy used half of his strength to hit him. Of course, not half but surely hard enough to give my son such an impression plus leaving red marks here and there, including rolled up a book to slap on my son's face.

I so wish I can win the RO but I also know the chance isn't good. If I lose, at least I have done what I should.
