is he entitled to half of my dla

Hi i hope someone can help me . We are soon to be divorced and i am disabled and grt full pip and my soon to be ex gets carers allowance for me . I have been saving this money and niw he says that as we are getting divorced he is entitled to half of it , i have given him every penny of carers allowance to date gut he still thinks he is entitled to half of my pip savings to date. Is he . . . Please help it will be the only income i will be left with after the divorce , which he thinks is more than he will get even though that any pip award is not guaranteed so i could have it taken off me at any time and have to use my savings to pay bills .

All assets go into the marital pot for division according to need. Some things can be argued out of the pot.

How things are divided depends upon need. Other factors are taken into account - length of marriage, ages incomes etc. Disability will also be a factor.

Are the savings the only asset you have between you? Or do you have a property, pensions etc?
