Firstly I'd like to say thanks to everyone here, the responses I've had to my queries over the last 2 years have been invaluable and I'm so glad a place like this exists.

Had my final hearing last week. Judge has ruled that ex has to buy out my share of the matrimonial home by X date or the house will have to be sold. Judge was satisfied that ex would be able to remortgage to cover the amount owed to me.

Today I received the paper copy of the ruling.

Am I right in thinking the next steps are:

1. to apply for the final order/Decree Absolute.
2. Contact land registry to remove my home rights
3. Ex remortgages
4. Payment is made to me.
5. A Clean Break order comes into effect
6. ~fin~

My name was never on the mortgage/deeds so there is no need for me to sign away my intrest in the property.

Is this correct?

thanks for your time.

Sounds right.
Not sure you actually need to remove your marital home rights. It might just end as you’re no longer married. Someone more expert may answer it Land Registry will tell you.

You must be relieved to be at the end of this journey.
