Hi, just had family court first hearing for custody of my child. I currently only have 1 night in 14. The next hearing is not till November. But my ex also wants 70% of assets and full CSA. The form E is due next month with court at begining of September. Do I need to try delay the financial order as I might get 50% custody and was wondering if that would help me or not on financial order. As I will have more outgoings. Or do I just mention this on the form E, and the court will take this into account?

Whether you have your child one night a month/fortnight/week, or for half the time, you will still need to provide a home [and bedroom] for them, so I don't see that delaying the financial remedy hearings will assist you. If you have one child then your strict housing need is a 2 bed property.
